The 2008 edition of the alumni conference was held in our new facility: renovated Benton Hall. The keynote speaker was Dr. David Haddad, former department head and Dean of the School of Engineering and Applied Science. The Conference included sessions on Career Development, Lab Sessions, Emerging Technologies, and Real World Case Studies. This year we added an employer fair/networking session. The day was capped off with the dedication of Benton Hall.

The Alumni Conference brings Alumni/ae to campus to share with students advice on career development, trends in our discipline, job search strategies, and other "real world" topics. This is also a great opportunity for our graduates to network with others and our faculty.

The Alumni Conference is one activity of the CSA External Advisory Council. The Advisory Council also assists the department with student recruiting, assessment, student placement, recruiting, and other initiatives. The charter for the Council describes the organization.
