Bachelor degree graduates:

Graduates of the BS-Electro-Mechanical program are engineering technologists prepared to fill industrial positions in areas directly related to process control, electronic instrumentation, testing, manufacturing, sales, and service. Typical engineering technologist's duties may include analysis and design of process control equipment, laboratory testing services, product sales and service, applications engineering, and the development of systems that require a hardware/software interface.

Mechanical BS graduates will find employment opportunities in a diverse spectrum of professional fields such as: Computer Aided Design, Computer Aided Analysis, and Computer Aided Manufacturing. Many mechanical engineering technologists work on team projects within manufacturing-related areas such as testing, analysis, design, and development of industrial and consumer products. Mechanical Engineering Technology graduates are well positioned to be employed in areas that permit rapid advancement into engineering management positions. All graduates of the program are eligible to sit for the engineer-in-training examination within the state of Ohio. Graduates may also continue their education at the graduate engineering technology/engineering levels.

Associate degree graduates:

Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology graduates work as electronic technicians, electrical maintenance technicians, computer maintenance and network technicians, engineering assistants, and other related paraprofessional positions. Graduates may also continue their education toward a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree. Refer to our Engineering Technology Bachelor Completion degree for details. Mechanical associate degree graduates work as Engineering Technicians within manufacturing related areas such as testing, analysis, design, and development of products.
