Sinclair Community College Dual Admission Agreement

Miami, Sinclair Partner on Engineering Programs
Dayton Business Journal - 2:12 PM EST Tuesday, March 21, 2006

A new program will allow Sinclair Community College engineering technology students to complete bachelor's degrees at Miami University, the colleges announced Tuesday.
The agreement takes effect immediately and allows students who earn associate degrees in engineering technology at Sinclair to transfer to the bachelor's of science degree in engineering technology program at Miami's Middletown and Hamilton branch campuses.
The first programs to be implemented will be the electrical/electronic engineering technology, mechanical engineering technology and automation and control engineering technology.
There about 500 students enrolled in those programs, said Karen Blake, head counselor in engineering technologies. Blake said the agreement will help the college market the program to high school students and teachers.

"It's going to make their transition so much more smoother," Blake said.
Sinclair has about 24,000 students and 2,100 employees at its downtown Dayton campus.
Miami has two satellite campuses in Middletown and Hamilton in addition to its main campus in Oxford.
