Do you feel as I do that you have a sense of ownership in the paper science program at Miami?

The education I received is second to none and will support me the rest of my life… I value that. The relationships I established with fellow-students and faculty continue today… I cherish that. The awareness and confidence instilled in me through the program help me meet career challenges… I depend on that.

I am extremely proud when I hear that a student at MY school received the Student of the Year Award from the Paper Industry Management Association, or that seniors from MY paper science program won the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Energy Competition.

The growth and reputation of the paper science and engineering program at Miami are important to me, not only because of the education I received while I was there but also because of what I continue to receive today. That is why I contribute every year to the Annual Campaign of the Paper Science and Engineering Foundation. Through the Foundation, the caliber of students in the program and the facilities in which they work and learn will keep getting better.

As a graduate of the program, your help is needed. Too few of us make regular contributions to the Annual Campaign. Last year less than 11% of us made a gift to the Foundation. We can do better for our school.
