Admission Requirements for Master of Science in Computational Science and Engineering Program
Application Process
Prospective students must apply for admission into the Master of Science in Computational Science and Engineering program through the Miami University Graduate School. Detailed application procedures and forms can be found at www.miami.muohio.edu/graduate. Letters of recommendation and the applicant’s essay on their purpose of study should be sent directly to the Computational Science and Engineering Program Director.
It is generally expected that applicants will have met the following criteria.
- Successful completion of an undergraduate degree with a GPA greater than 3.0.
- GRE scores above the following thresholds: 400 verbal, 650 quantitative, 4.0 analytical. In addition, the GRE must have been taken within the past two years and an official score sheet must be submitted.
- TOEFL scores (when required) above the following thresholds: 250, and 500 paper-based
Prospective students will be ranked and selected for admission based on the contents of their admission package.Students will typically be admitted in the fall semester. Please note the application deadline is 1 February.
