Associate Degree Programs in SEAS

Computer and Information Technology (career option): Students who major in Computer and Information Technology will follow a technically intense program that prepares them for positions in the computing field as programmers, network administrators, computer support personnel and other similar jobs. According to regional employment projections, the industry demand for employees with skills for positions of this type, will increase throughout this decad

Computer Technology (continuation option) is designed for students who wish to earn an associate degree and be prepared to complete a bachelor's degree from the Computer Science and Systems Analysis Department. It allows students to obtain an Associate Degree in Applied Science by taking approximately half of the courses for the Computer Science or Systems Analysis major in the bachelors degree program.

Electrical and Computer Engineering Technology (TAC/ABET Accredited) includes course work in both the electrical and electronic fields. The program provides depth and breadth in electrical fundamentals as well as the advanced technology found in modern electrical and computing systems.

Mechanical Engineering Technology (TAC/ABET Accredited) emphasizes courses in computer aided drafting (CAD), computer aided engineering analysis and design, computer numerical control programming (CNC), and engineering mechanics.

Nursing: The nursing major is a science/health oriented program requiring courses in chemistry, anatomy, physiology, microbiology, psychology, and humanities in addition to specialized courses in the Nursing major. Classroom instruction is correlated with clinical experiences. Graduates are qualified to take the NCLEX-RN that upon passing allows them to practice as a registered nurse. Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) can earn an Associate Degree in Nursing in 12 months through the accelerated track that builds upon the LPN's prior education.
